Natural Family Planning Teachers’ Association

about us

The Association was set up in 1984 by two gynaecologists Mr. John Kelly and Dr. Anna Flynn to train people to teach the Sympto-Thermal Method of Natural Family Planning. This method brings together all the strengths of the temperature method, which had been very well researched in 1950s and spread across Europe, USA and Canada, with the addition of the latest discoveries about the role of cervical mucus, as researched by Drs. Evelyn and John Billings of Australia. So it is truly an “international method”.

Our teachers are volunteers who have used the Symptothermal method and undertaken the teaching course to enable them to pass on this valuable way of living.
